A rare recording has emerged from the Newcastle show during the tour accompanying the release of their fourth album, “BACK TO THE MYSTERY CITY,” captured in excellent stereo audience recording quality! This rare recording captures a live performance held on May 20, 1983, in Newcastle, in northeastern England, during the tour that followed their first visit to Japan in support of their fourth album, “BACK TO THE MYSTERY CITY,” and is captured in excellent stereo audience recording quality! Remastered from a low-generation master, the sound image is somewhat rough, but each part, including the vocals, is well-balanced, and the recording captures the powerful sound of the floor with Andy & Nasty’s guitars resonating loudly, resulting in an outstanding sound quality. The setlist includes the opening sound effect, three songs from their then-new album “BACK TO THE MYSTERY CITY” (including the singles “Malibu Beach Nightmare” and “Until I Get You”), “Don’t You Ever Leave Me” from their debut album (which was re-recorded and rearranged and released as a single the following year), the heavy blues number “Taxi Driver” from their third album, and the rare track “In The Year ’79 (aka. It’s Too Late)” written around 1979 before the band was formed. The setlist also includes covers of The Boys’ “T.C.P.”, The Stooges’ “1970,” the rock and roll classic “Train Kept A Rollin'” (known for The Yardbirds and Johnny Burnette), and finally, a rare cover of MC5’s “Looking At You,” allowing you to fully enjoy a powerful and incredible performance!
