Description

This album features a rare live recording from Bob Berg’s 2001 European tour, captured via broadcast audio. It showcases Berg in his prime, maintaining a rich sonic pressure while freely developing his phrases. The dynamic solos, particularly the tenor saxophone solos that leap from the low register to the high register, are breathtaking, a masterful blend of hard bop vocabulary and contemporary jazz sensibilities. The live atmosphere, unattainable in studio recordings, and Berg’s increasingly passionate improvisations are highlights. This is a must-listen for tenor saxophone fans who want to experience Bob Berg’s charm firsthand. Live At Rotterdam, The Netherlands My 2nd, 2001 1. Imediacy 2. I Could Write A Book 3.
