Description
This release couples audio and video footage of the final show of their 1982 Japan tour, held on January 13th at the Nippon Budokan, following the release of their hit album “PARADISE THEATRE.” The CD features a full 2-hour and 13-minute recording of the show from a remarkably good audience master recording for its time, while the DVD contains 40 minutes of footage directly digitized from the aircheck master of the professionally shot TV broadcast of the same concert. Although the video is a digest, the performances of “Sakura Sakura” and “Ue o Muite Arukou,” performed before the acoustic “Boat On The River,” were unique to Japan and are rare to see on video. The entire concert revolves around seven songs from the hit album, interspersed with other representative songs from their earlier career such as “The Grand Illusion,” “Come Sail Away,” and “Babe,” perfectly recreating this night, which was the finale of the tour and when the band shone brightest.
