Description

This item allows you to listen to a live performance held at Hammersmith Palace in London on June 24, 1984, shortly after the addition of new guitarist John Valentine Carruzas, who joined the band for the EP “THE THORN,” released in October 1984, following Robert Smith’s departure. The set opens with “Dazzle,” featuring a long version of the string intro, and includes six tracks from the album “Hyaena,” released shortly after, three tracks from the previous album “A KISS IN THE DREAMHOUSE,” and “Red Over White” from the EP “THE THORN,” released in October of the same year. While the last two songs at the next day’s live performance were Beatles covers, “Israel” and “Jigsaw Feeling” were selected for this first night. You can enjoy the powerful performance where John’s kaleidoscopic guitar playing, which is surprisingly sophisticated for a new guitarist who had just joined the band, blends seamlessly into the band!
