This high-quality recording captures a live performance at a Paris live restaurant on September 5, 1976. While there was a recording of the September 5th gig from the two-day run at Chalet du Lac in Paris, France on September 3rd and 5th, this new release features a digital transfer from the original low-generation master, with improvements to minor details such as a few-second dropout, and a complete remastering. Remastered versions circulating online claim to have corrected pitch discrepancies, but the discrepancies are delayed, and the high frequencies are boosted too much, resulting in a shimmering cymbal sound. Furthermore, the few-second dropout at the beginning of “Stepping Stone” on one channel remains unchanged. However, this release meticulously corrects pitch and positioning discrepancies, as well as the dropout that was present in previous releases, from the low-generation master, resulting in a definitive remastering that prioritizes the original sound. The gig on the 3rd at the Paris disco Chalet du Lac, which had a standing capacity of about 800, was said to have been packed with 2000 people, but on this day, due to the flight schedule back to London, it started at 4pm and was performed in front of an audience of about 200 people.
