Description
This release features a 65-minute recording of the February 7th Colorado Springs show from the 1997 North American tour, the era of the legendary album “MOONFLOWER,” using a soundboard recording leaked by someone involved at the time. This PA direct recording from a master directly connected to the mixing console, recently released by staff from that era, lacks some of the live atmosphere, but because it is completely unprocessed and unedited, Santana’s guitar, as well as the keyboards and percussion, resonate with a realistic live sound, and the subtle nuances of the band’s ensemble are conveyed directly. Furthermore, while live recordings for “MOONFLOWER” were also made during this tour, following the consecutive release of “AMIGOS” and “FESTIVAL,” the live tracks included on the album were recorded in Europe, and this release includes tracks like “Give Me Love” and “Let Me,” which are exclusive to this tour, as well as “Oye Como Va,” which is not included on “MOONFLOWER.” Although it is not a complete collection, it is a must-listen for fans.
