This release couples audio and video footage from the opening night of the “Fifty Something Tour” North American tour, commemorating the band’s 50th anniversary in 2026, specifically the Philadelphia show on August 21st. The audio is a high-quality audience recording using the latest digital equipment, capturing the entire live performance in 2 hours and 46 minutes. The video DVD was filmed from the front row of the 2nd floor stands, almost directly in front of the stage, capturing the entire stage without obstructions, as well as the band and the giant screen at a consistently stable angle. Having already performed over 20 shows by this point, the performance is flawless throughout. This tour also features a schedule of 2 to 4 consecutive shows in the same venue in major cities, with the setlist changing daily. This particular show was the first of two consecutive shows, so the setlist was different from the second day, with the full performance of the epic song “2112” being the biggest highlight. Furthermore, the epic “La Villa Strangiato” replaces “Leave That Thing Alone,” and “The Garden” replaces “Witch Hunt,” adding instrumental numbers and ballads that create a different impression from the second day. Of course, the 70s’ signature songs and the tributes to Neil Peart that adorn the show are still present, and from the opening skit to “Working Man,” the entirety of the night is presented here in the best quality.
