Rush/NY,USA 07.28.2026 Complete & more

To commemorate their 50th anniversary in 2026, Rush finally returned to live performances after 11 years with their “Fifty Something Tour” in North America. This release couples audio and video of the opening night performance at Madison Square Garden in New York on July 28th. The audio is a high-quality audience recording using the latest digital equipment, capturing the entire live performance in 2 hours and 31 minutes. The video DVD is shot from a camera at a very close distance, almost directly in front of the stage, capturing close-ups of the band members’ playing and expressions. The image quality is also super clear with no obstructions, and the entire band and screens are captured at stable angles using frequent zooms. Having already performed more than 10 shows up to this point, the performance is almost perfect throughout. It’s also worth noting that this MSG show was one of two consecutive performances, and the setlist was significantly different from the other two, making this performance a best-of selection that summarizes their career. Among the changes made, such as replacing “Caravan,” which was included in the setlist at the beginning of the tour, with “Headlong Flight,” is a number from the same ‘CLOCKWORK ANGELS’ era, adding a special touch to the best selection of songs. In addition to these changes, the tribute video to Neil Peart inserted at key points in the show, as well as all the classic scenes, from the opening “Where’s Rush?” to the South Park skit just before “Tom Sawyer,” are all included in their entirety, making this a must-have collector’s edition for fans.
