Description

QueensrŸche, who showcased “evolving heavy metal” to the world, but whose stage recordings from the ‘RAGE FOR ORDER’ era remain largely unknown, now has a new masterpiece that offers an unparalleled experience of that era. This album captures their “Bloomington performance on August 29, 1986,” in a superb audience recording. The biggest selling point of this album is its breathtaking sound. This is a recently released first-generation master, and it’s absolutely incredible. It’s a phenomenal new masterpiece that truly lives up to the description of “soundboard quality.” Before discussing its impressive quality, let’s first consider the show’s position. The “RAGE FOR ORDER Tour” is also known for masterpieces like ‘HANOVER 1986’ and ‘L’AMOUR EAST 1987’, but these are from slightly different periods. Let’s first take a look at the overview of their activities at the time and examine their relative positions. March 27th + April 23rd, 1986: North America #1 (2 shows) [RAGE FOR ORDER released June 27th] July 31st – October 22nd: North America #2 (60 shows) ←★HERE★ November 24th – December 8th: Europe (12 shows) ←※HANOVER 1986 January 23rd – February 21st, 1987: North America #3 (16 shows) ←※L’AMOUR EAST 1987 A brilliant sound that even makes you feel the brilliance. This is QUEENSRŸCHE from the RAGE FOR ORDER era. Our previous two releases were records of the latter half of the tour, “Europe” and “North America #3,” but the Bloomington performance in this release was early in the tour, two months after the album’s release. It was the 24th show of “North America #2.” This release, which vacuum-packs such a show, is a brilliant recording. It’s incredibly clear and on-screen, almost like a soundboard recording, but more than that, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s like a meticulously mixed and polished FM broadcast. In fact, if you listen carefully with headphones, you can even hear the hall’s reverberation, but it’s an effect typical of the 80s, and there’s absolutely no sense of distance. Rather, the reverberation gives the performance a sparkling brilliance, and instead of dulling the edges, it makes them stand out even more sharply. Rare tracks are also a treat. The full show of the extremely precious “RAGE FOR ORDER Tour” is depicted with such brilliant and beautiful sound. On this day, they were the opening act for AC/DC, so it was a short set of about 45 minutes, but the selection is different from both “HANOVER 1986” and “L’AMOUR EAST 1987”. Let’s compare and organize them here. Legend of the Flames (5 songs) – Neue Regel / Surgical Strike / Gonna Get Close to You (★★) / Chemical Youth (We Are Rebellion) / Walk In The Shadows Others (4 songs) – Queensrÿche (EP): Nightrider (★) / Queen Of The Reich – The Warning: Deliverance (★) / Take Hold Of The Flame *Note: “★” indicates songs not heard on the masterpiece ‘HANOVER 1986’. “★★” in particular indicates songs not even on ‘L’AMOUR EAST 1987’. …and so on. A style combining four carefully selected songs from the first two albums with half of ‘RAGE FOR ORDER’. The new songs “Neue Regel” and “Gonna Get Close to You” were sealed away for many years, and as for “Nightrider” and “Deliverance,” they weren’t played until Todd La Touré took over, and weren’t even played in Geoff Tate’s solo work. This was also the last tour in which he sang. From “THE WARNING,” which was an extension of orthodox heavy metal, the “RAGE FOR ORDER” era saw a rapid evolution, establishing a realm that can only be described as a new genre: “progressive metal.” This live album offers a superb experience of that 100% raw stage performance. A historic scene where a new generation of metal rose to the top with a brilliant sound that shone with metallic luster. A superb audience recording of the “Bloomington performance on August 29, 1986.” The first generation master, recently unearthed, boasts a brilliant sound that is “just like a soundboard recording.” This new masterpiece allows you to enjoy a full show of the “RAGE FOR ORDER Tour,” including plenty of rare tracks.
