Wings Live ’72-’73: Newly Expanded Edition! The ultimate collector’s edition featuring soundboard recordings and rare film footage! ‘Tour Over Europe 1972-1973′ compiles the records of Paul McCartney’s first European concert tour with Wings after the Beatles’ breakup. Now available as the ultimate collector’s edition with carefully selected soundboard recordings and rare film footage. In addition to the 20 tracks included in the previously limited-distribution official live CD ‘WINGS OVER EUROPE’, previously unreleased soundboard recordings have been added, bringing the total to 41 tracks on 2 CDs. While the official release consisted entirely of ’72 tour recordings except for the opening track “Big Burn Bed,” this new edition includes a significant amount of recordings from the ’73 Newcastle, UK concert, and the previously random track order has been re-edited to conform to the original setlist, with CD1 containing ’72 recordings and CD2 containing ’73 recordings and the ’72 additional recordings, recreating the concert in a way that is closer to the original than before. Twelve tracks from the 1973 Newcastle, UK concert are taken from previously unreleased master reels, and the officially recorded “Big Burn Bed” is also included in an unedited alternate mix. Furthermore, it includes numerous previously unreleased tracks, such as “Cottonfields,” Denny Laine’s “Go Now” and “Say You Don’t Mind,” and Henry MacRough’s “Henry’s Blues.” It also includes “Complain to the Queen,” an improvised song performed backstage and broadcast on the radio. The DVD contains live film footage shot during the 1972-73 tour. Although the footage is fragmented, it is a valuable record that gives a glimpse into the atmosphere of the time. It is also a must-see video collection that compiles news footage from TV interviews and rehearsals at the time, as well as the full rehearsal version of “Peace to Ireland.” This is the ultimate collector’s edition, consisting of two newly edited soundboard audio CDs and a video DVD. This DVD set expands and recreates Wings’ earliest European tour from 1972 and 1973 using soundboard recordings that correspond to the setlists of each era. It also includes previously unreleased soundboard recordings and a DVD collection of live films from 1972-1973, as well as TV interviews and rehearsal footage.
