Pat Metheny Trio / Netherlands 07.111999 FM Broadcast Edition

This is a live recording of Pat Metheny’s trio. It’s a relatively rare recording from 1999, featuring Metheny with Larry Grenadier and Bill Stewart. They seem to have made a good team, as they released official albums together in 1999 and 2000. This particular recording is a radio broadcast of their 1999 performance at a jazz festival, so the sound quality is excellent, although it’s a bit disappointing that it’s not a full set due to broadcast time constraints. All of the DJ’s commentary has been cut, but Metheny’s commentary remains. Recorded Live at North Sea Jazz Festival, Nederlands Congres Centrum, Statenhal, The Hague, Netherlands.
