Description
A historically significant performance that shines brilliantly in Oasis history and is extremely popular with fans, the Earls Court 2-day concert in November 1995. Two years ago, we released a definitive title of the first day’s performance using a newly discovered DAT source, completely overturning previous releases. Now, the audio from the second day has finally arrived! And the quality is… simply astonishing! Not only does it surpass the quality of previous titles, which were riddled with numerous problems, but it is a perfect stereo soundboard title that would not feel out of place as an official release! A must-have title that we confidently recommend. UPGRADE!!! A super-classic title of complete official quality has finally been born! Perfect in both content and sound quality! The Earls Court 2-day concert in London, the pinnacle of Oasis in 1995, is one of the most popular performances in their career, alongside Maine Road and Knebworth. Stereo soundboard recordings exist for both days, and have produced numerous items to date. Among them, our 2024 release, “EARLS COURT 1995 1ST NIGHT: NEW DAT SOURCE REMASTERED EDITION,” which utilizes the first-ever DAT copy of the audio mixed by producer Owen Morris, reigns supreme as the definitive version. It continues to enjoy an unshakeable reputation as a masterpiece of Earls Court’s first night. Immediately after its release, a new definitive version of the second night’s performance was eagerly awaited. This was a stereo soundboard recording unearthed by the classic label Flushbulb’s masterpiece “FAB 5+4 (EXTRAVAGANZA),” and at the time of its release, its sound quality made it an even more popular item among collectors than the Earls Court first night version. However, while the initial impression was that it was a good stereo soundboard recording, it was also true that it suffered from many of the instabilities common in leaked soundboards, starting with a fatal skip in “The Swamp Song,” sporadic noise between songs, slight dropouts in some tracks, a lack of power in the guitar, excessive low frequencies in Alan’s bass drum and Guigsy’s bass, and even subtle pitch deviations. Nevertheless, due to its value as a stereo soundboard recording, many derivative titles appeared afterward. However, each of them had its own problems, and some items were even more flawed than the original “FAB 5+4 (EXTRAVAGANZA).” Among the well-known releases was “OASIS’ EARL’S COURT TRIUMPH” from BAYSWATER, but the second day’s recording used a compressed lossy source, the mastering was rough, and the pitch was off, so it fell far short of surpassing “FAB 5+4 (EXTRAVAGANZA).” That’s why a definitive version that eliminates all those problems has been eagerly awaited for so long. And now, it’s finally here. In its production, the original leaked soundboard recording was returned to the source and a thorough analysis was conducted. First, all the noise that was scattered between songs and slight dropouts in some tracks were completely eliminated! Then, as with previous Oasis titles, the original sound source was separated into a total of 11 tracks (vocals, guitar, bass, hi-hat, cymbal, snare, tom, bass drum, piano, audience noise, etc.) using the latest AI technology, and each was treated individually before being remixed from scratch. There were many things that needed to be done in order to deliver the best sound source ever. First and foremost, the sound pressure of Alan’s bass drum, which was unnecessarily prominent and rough in the leaked soundboard mix, was optimized. As a result, the snare and tom playing, which tended to be buried in the mix, have regained their original presence. This was made possible because AI made it possible to finely separate the drum parts. The guitar has also regained its thickness, making a complete comeback to an extremely natural and fat “Oasis-esque” sound that is reminiscent of official releases. Earls Court featured a special large-venue setup with a string section, brass section, and even a harmonica player, but in the leaked soundboard recording, the strings, in particular, were unnaturally prominent, often detracting from the band’s ensemble. This problem, which was beyond the capabilities of the technology at the time, has finally been solved through AI-powered track separation. The mix balance has been restored to a natural one that resembles an actual live performance, similar to the official live video “THERE AND THEN” and our “EARLS COURT 1995 1ST NIGHT: NEW DAT SOURCE REMASTERED EDITION.” Furthermore, the volume of the acoustic guitar, which was inexplicably and overwhelmingly lacking in Noel’s solo parts in the leaked soundboard recording, has been restored, and the unnatural fade-out/fade-in that occurred between “Live Forever” and “Champagne Supernova” has been perfectly repaired. And they’ve completely adjusted the pitch discrepancies that had plagued their previous releases! The live performance itself is so brilliant that it hardly needs any further explanation, but from the very first four songs, “Acquiesce,” “Supersonic,” “Hello,” and “Some Might Say,” Oasis was already going full throttle, and listening to Liam’s vocals, you can easily imagine why they were destined to conquer the world. And the audience’s energy fully matches the band’s aura! Earls Court 2DAYS held the Guinness World Record at the time for the largest audience at an indoor concert in Europe, so it’s no surprise that they were so passionate! During Noel’s acoustic set of “Wonderwall,” the audience joined in a spectacular singalong, not to be outdone by Noel. In response, Noel passed the final chorus of the song to the audience, saying, “Your turn.” Furthermore, the encore featured a development that hadn’t happened the previous day! First, The Bootleg Beatles made a guest appearance on “I Am The Walrus”! (The string section, brass section, and harmonica player participated again from the previous day.) Finally, they even performed “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” a song they didn’t play on the first day! The two days culminated in a grand finale, with Oasis giving it their all. You can truly enjoy these great performances thanks to the thorough polishing down to the smallest detail mentioned earlier. Who could have imagined that leaked soundboard audio would be reborn with the same level of perfection as an official live album!
