Miles Davis Mike Stern ,Bill Evans/NY,USA 07.17.1981 Remastered

This recording captures the first night of the two-day Savoy concert in 1981. While slightly rough, the audience recording has been remastered to perfection. The tribute band “We Want Miles!”, formed by Marcus Miller to commemorate Miles Davis’s 100th birthday this year (2026), is centered around the members from this very performance. Several live recordings of “We Want Miles!” have also been released by the same label, so listening to these in conjunction with this recording may enhance your enjoyment.
