Description
This is the definitive two-disc live recording of the November 6, 1984 Paris, Bercy concert, which was previously only broadcast for one hour, and was rebroadcast in 2020 using the highest quality digital audio. This live performance was previously released as a three-disc set titled “Fat Love Got to Do with You,” but the original release consisted of two discs of audience recordings from the day and one disc of the one-hour broadcast audio. However, the version that was suddenly rebroadcast on the French music program “Legend du Jazz” is a longer 1 hour and 36 minute version. In addition, you can hear Tina Turner’s famous song “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” which is the main focus of this live performance, in the best possible sound quality. This song is a masterpiece that was not included on the album “You’re Under Arrest” because Bill Evans’ arrangement was not completed in time. Furthermore, while the broadcast version included radio station announcements between songs, this title uses a remastered audio source where overseas fans have carefully removed those parts, so you can listen with peace of mind. This is a masterpiece of the best quality from the 1984 live performance featuring Bob Berg and John Scofield. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
