Description
This is a top-quality soundboard live recording from the time of Michael McDonald’s solo debut and the release of his album “I’m Still Here,” a key figure in his soulful AOR-oriented music, who joined Steely Dan as a touring member in 1974 and the Doobie Brothers in 1975, and subsequently produced massive hits like “Minute By Minute” and “What a Fool Believes.” In addition to the two Doobie Brothers tracks mentioned above, he also performs hit songs he wrote, and from his solo album, James Ingram appears on “Ya Mo B There,” which won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance, allowing listeners to enjoy the wonderful voices of both artists. Enjoy this live performance from the peak of blue-eyed soul, with its soft, sweet, and dapper vocals. Also, Willie Weeks’ bass playing on Donny Hathaway’s “Live” is absolutely superb.
