Description
This release couples a 1.5-hour special promotional live performance held in a Philadelphia parking lot a week before the release of “RELOAD” on November 11, 1997, with master-quality sound and video. The CD is a soundboard recording, and the video is a professional shot, both digitized from the VHS included in the official “FAN CAN #4” released in 2001. As a result, the DVD’s picture quality has an analog feel due to its VHS origin, but there is no noise or master degradation, and the audio is perfect stereo soundboard quality, making it enjoyable even on CD alone. The setlist is also a little different from usual, with staples like “Seek & Destroy,” “Creeping Death,” “One,” and “Enter Sandman” all omitted, replaced by a more subdued lineup including “No Remorse,” “The Thing That Should Not Be,” “Of Wolf And Man,” and “Bleeding Me.” Incidentally, it’s quite different in content from the official live album “CUNNING STUNTS” released around the same time, and it’s also unusual that it includes four cover songs: “Helpless,” “Stone Cold Crazy,” “Am I Evil?”, and “The Wait.” The fact that it’s a promotional live performance in a parking lot also gives it a special feel, making this limited collector’s edition a must-have for fans who haven’t seen it yet.
