Description
Following the release of “TRIBE” in 2003, this release features a complete recording of the July 12th Delaware, Wilmington show from their North American tour, where they co-headlined with Dream Theater, using stereo soundboard audio leaked by someone involved at the time. This is a direct recording from the original master soundboard source connected directly to the mixing console, which was recently released by staff at the time. While there are some cuts and it lacks some of the live atmosphere, it is completely unprocessed and unedited, so the raw sound is powerfully captured coming from the PA system at the venue, and the mix balance is perfect, making it comparable in quality to an official release if you listen to it normally. It’s worth noting that while audio and video from this tour also exist on the official album “THE ART OF LIVE,” the official album mainly features later songs, whereas this release focuses on early numbers up to “EMPIRE,” making it a completely different setlist. Furthermore, the encore performance with Dream Theater was also different, including two songs from each band’s original repertoire, “THE SPIRIT CARRIES ON” and “TAKE HOLD OF THE FLAME,” which fans will appreciate more than what is included on the official release.
