Metallica Anthrax/England,UK 09.18.1986 Complete & more

From the now-legendary 1986 UK tour with Cliff Burton, the September 18th Sheffield performance is fully captured in 1.5 hours using what was then the highest quality audience recording. Based on the original master cassette, which has long been known as a superb live recording of high quality, the sound has been further remastered to preserve the texture and atmosphere of the time, resulting in a direct CD transfer of the real sound as it was back then. In addition, some cuts due to tape changes have been filled in with alternative sources, resulting in a nearly uncut recording. Furthermore, during this tour, James suffered a fractured right arm, so a roadie played rhythm guitar while James focused on vocals, resulting in a five-piece band. Moreover, Cliff passed away in a tour bus accident after performing six more shows, making this a precious live performance from a truly turbulent period, and it is available in the highest possible quality. Furthermore, Disc 3 includes a bonus 45-minute recording of Anthrax’s performance as the opening act that day, also in high-quality sound, making this a must-have collector’s edition for thrash metal fans.
