This 97-minute high-quality audience-shot recording captures the first of two limited-time Japanese performances in 2026 by LORDS OF NWOBHM, a project bringing together legends of 80s heavy metal. The performance took place on January 11th at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU in Tokyo. The project members are as follows: *Carl Sentance (Vocals: PERSIAN RISK/NAZARETH) *John Gallagher (Bass, Vocals: RAVEN) *Tino Troy (Guitar: PRAYING MANTIS) *Cliff Evans (Guitar: TANK) *Carl Wilcox (Drums: DIAMOND HEAD) This miraculous Japanese performance by these five veteran members is captured perfectly from an unobstructed angle on the right side of the stage, and the club gig setting realistically recreates the raw, intimate performance with zero sense of distance. The live performance, a parade of NWOBHM-era classics, featured nine songs by each member’s band, making up more than half of the setlist. The set also included numbers by Saxon and Maiden, and Def Leppard’s “Getcha Rocks Off” was a unique addition to the setlist only for this show.
