Description
This release features 64 minutes of footage from the September 11th Burbank concert during KISS’s 1993 North American tour, which followed the release of their last album without makeup, “REVENGE.” The footage includes both professional and audience shots. The first half of the concert is professional footage leaked by someone involved with the band, while the second half consists of high-quality audience shots that were recently released. Even the first half, though filmed with a single camera, offers unique camerawork that makes it more enjoyable than typical live footage. The setlist for this concert was also unusual; Gene had announced beforehand that they would be playing songs they hadn’t played in a long time, and indeed, they didn’t play “Rock and Roll All Nite” or “Detroit Rock City,” instead consisting entirely of rare 70s numbers. In particular, “Goin’ Blind” was played for the first time, and other songs only played in the 70s included “Got to Choose,” “Let Me Go, Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “Rock Bottom,” “She,” and even “Take Me” and “Makin’ Love.” The setlist alone makes this arguably the best in KISS’s live history.
