Description

This work, “IN FIRENZE,” captures a solo performance in Florence, Italy, a record of a single night that delves into the very heart of Keith Jarrett’s art. In the extreme conditions of complete improvisation, he lovingly weaves together the nascent melodies, eventually elevating them into a magnificent architectural masterpiece. The warmth of gospel, the balance of Baroque music, and the free breath of jazz—these elements are organically fused without fragmentation, unfolding like a symphonic poem, a compositional power that is truly breathtaking.
