This recording captures the final show of the 1987 North American tour supporting the release of “RAISED ON RADIO,” specifically the January 23rd performance in Anchorage, Alaska, which was Steve Perry’s last live performance with the band. The recording was made from an audience master recently released by a taper. Although there are some cuts, it captures almost the entire concert, starting abruptly with “Only The Young,” a song contributed to the film “Vision Quest.” The setlist, which includes songs from the “RAISED ON RADIO” repertoire and selections from Steve Perry’s solo album “STREET TALK,” is unique to this tour and cannot be heard anywhere else. At the time, the official members were only Steve, Neal Schon, and Jonathan Cain, and Perry also left the band after this performance to pursue a solo career, making this a masterpiece that can be said to mark the end of the band’s golden age.
