This is a highly sought-after recording from a broadcast of a rare duo live performance between John Abercrombie, a jazz guitarist who has maintained a unique presence as a leading figure on the ECM label, and Roslav Vitous, a founding member of Weather Report and a prolific solo artist. It is unclear how Abercrombie and Vitous came to tour together as a duo for such a short period, but judging from this newly released recording from Muralt, Switzerland, it is surprising that there has been no official album of this wonderful duo performance.
