Description
This is a soulful, powerful performance! Undoubtedly Janis’s No. 1 live recording! This is a superb soundboard recording of Janis’s greatest live performance to date, from April 1, 1969, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam! Her moving and magnificent singing is as if she is pouring out the last vestiges of her life. The sound separation is superb, and not only is Janis’s passionate singing outstanding, but the excellent performances of each musician are definitely a must-listen for fans. There is noticeable hiss noise, but it is recorded with a high degree of purity, probably straight from the master, making it an essential item. As a bonus, it includes the representative songs MOVE OVER and KOZMIC BLUES, which were not sung at the Amsterdam concert. It also includes the rare Nina Simone masterpiece LITTLE GIRL BLUE, which is also fantastic. All of these bonuses are also recorded in superb soundboard quality. Finally, it includes two versions of ONE NIGHT STAND, my favorite Janis song. The jacket also features a rare photograph, making it an irresistible item for fans.
