Disc 1 features the Santa Monica performance; while the broadcast source from the FM air-master has long been known, this version is derived from the pre-master tape, offering superior audio quality and including DJ commentary and announcements that were previously edited out, resulting in a comprehensive 79-minute runtime. Disc 2 captures the show at San Francisco’s Fillmore West, transferred directly to CD from an original cassette recorded for archival purposes by a Japanese staff member from the record label at the time; despite a runtime of approximately 30 minutes, the latest mastering techniques have been applied to achieve astonishing audio quality for a vintage audience recording.
