Duran Duran/Live Collection 2015-2017

This 4-disc DVD collection compiles Duran Duran’s live performances from around the world from 2015 to 2017, during the “PAPER GODS” era! The biggest highlight is the 2017 Japan tour included on DISC 1. In addition to the September 20th performance at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, it also includes footage from the September 22nd performance at the Orix Theater in Osaka. With a superb mix of representative songs from the 80s and songs from the “PAPER GODS” era, this is a fulfilling live collection that lets you enjoy Duran Duran in various locations around the world, including Tokyo, Osaka, São Paulo, the Washington area, Los Angeles, The Hague, and the Isle of Wight. Below are the details of each disc as they were at the time of release. Disc 1 The 2017 Japan tour, their first visit to Japan in nine years, consisted of only two performances in Tokyo and Osaka, and these two performances are recorded using various audience footage, including mobile footage. With a total running time of 79 minutes, this digest-style recording features a selection of excellent footage from multiple audience sources, resulting in numerous stable camera angles. Of course, it includes plenty of their signature 80s hits, but also features tracks from their 2015 release, “PAPER GODS.” Notably, Nile Rodgers, who opened the show at Budokan, makes an appearance, joining them on “Notorious” and “Pressure Off” with his sharp guitar playing. Also, since Nile’s 65th birthday was the day before, be sure to check out the scene where the entire venue sings “Happy Birthday.” Live at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan September 20th 2017 1.Return To Japan 02.Message 03.A View To A Kill/04.Happy Birthday To You/05.Notorious with Nile Rodgers/06.Pressure Off with Nile Rodgers/07.Hold Back The Rain/08.Ordinary World/09.Hungry Like The Wolf/10.Girls On Film/11.The Universe Alone/Save A Prayer/12.Rio Live at ORIX Theater, Osaka, Japan September 22th 2017 13.The Wild Boys/14.Hold Back The Rain/15.Ordinary World/16.Girls On Film/17.Rio Approx 79min Disc 2 This release features a complete, official-quality, pro-shot video recording of their performance at Lollapalooza Brazil, held in São Paulo, Brazil on March 26, 2017.
