Description
From the opening night of legendary Diana Ross’s 2026 Japan tour, her first in 11 years, the May 23rd show at Yokohama K-Arena has been fully recorded in 1 hour and 46 minutes using a high-quality audience master released by the taper. The show begins with the opening “OVERTURE,” where various videos and photos from her career are projected onto the stage with narration. The concert then begins with “I’m Coming Out,” and covers her career spanning over 60 years, from her time with The Supremes in the 60s, her solo work in the 70s, her disco-funk era with Chic in the 80s, and up to her 2011 album “THANK YOU.” The setlist is a parade of her biggest hits, which is a given, but what is truly astonishing is Diana’s vocal power and performance. Her singing voice, which is unbelievable for an 82-year-old, is simply breathtaking. Another highlight of the day was the special guest appearance. First, her daughter Rhonda Ross Kendrick sang the first four songs, starting with “Someday,” and then Diana’s three grandchildren appeared on stage for “Upside Down,” dancing along to the music. This heartwarming atmosphere made this a truly special, limited-edition memorial item for her visit to Japan.
