David Sanborn Mike Stern/MA,USA 05.19.1985 Remastered

This live performance, which fans have called a “legendary live show” due to Mike Stern’s participation on guitar during the 1985 North American tour, has finally seen the light of day thanks to the latest digital edition of the legendary tape taper Tape Tyrant’s collection, digitized by craftsman “mjk5510”. The Tape Tyrant Collection, which rivals even the Millard Collection, boasts an extremely fresh sound, with no signs of overdubbing or tape degradation, making it sound as if it were recorded yesterday. The thick core of the sound reaches you without any sense of distance, and the details are meticulously reproduced down to the smallest detail. It is a masterpiece that would normally be described as “just like a broadcast recording”. However, it is truly amazing that this ultra-rare live performance was recorded. The recording of this performance, whose existence on tape itself could not even be confirmed, is truly a miraculous concert. The two had not performed together since collaborating on Mike Stern’s debut leader album “Fat Time,” which was released only in Japan. In this live performance, you’ll hear how Sanborn’s soulful saxophone playing and Mike Stern’s passionate guitar blend together, and you’ll be convinced that it’s a perfect match! The beauty of the dazzling audience sound recorded by Tape Tyrant is breathtaking. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content. Live at Berklee Performance Center, Boston, Massachusetts 05/19/1985 1.
