Description
On April 3, 2026, Carmine Appice’s legendary rock band, Cactus, held a one-night-only special gig in Illinois, USA, with numerous renowned guests. This performance was fully captured from a soundboard-level digital audience master. First of all, this concert was held to celebrate the release of their reunion album, “Temple of the Blues II,” and in addition to the reunited members, including Appice, many prominent musicians who have left their mark on the history of American hard rock participated as guests, such as Billy Sheehan, Eric Gales, Doug Aldrich, as well as Pat Travers, Tony Franklin, Doug Pinnick, and Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal. The setlist included Kamatus numbers from the 70s, blues covers from their newly released album, as well as Jimi Hendrix numbers and even “I’m Sexy,” a song Appice co-wrote with Rod Stewart, filling the venue with 70s American rock from beginning to end.
