Blondie, having reunited, presents a new item featuring a high-quality stereo audience recording of their May 1999 performance in Uncasville, Connecticut! This new item captures the live performance held on May 14, 1999, at the Wolf Den, an event venue within the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, as part of the “NO EXIT TOUR,” which followed the release of their seventh album, “NO EXIT,” their first in 17 years. The recording is a high-quality stereo audience recording. Directly digitally transferred from the DAT master, it boasts a wide range and a deep sound image, with the vocals and each instrument recorded with excellent balance and clarity. Two sources exist for this recording; one is a lower-quality mono audience recording. However, this release uses the superior source, which includes the sound check from the day of the live performance. This release features four tracks selected from “NO EXIT,” including “Maria,” the lead single released prior to the album and their first UK number one hit in 19 years, as well as the ska numbers “Screaming Skin,” “Forgive And Forget,” and “Boom Boom In The Zoom Zoom Room,” which open the album. You can also enjoy a superb setlist that summarizes their work up to that point, including the 1980 hit “Call Me” and the hit single “Heart Of Glass” from their third album “PARALLEL LINES,” all in immersive, high-quality stereo audience recording! They played a cover of The Plasmatics’ “Sometimes I” during the soundcheck, a rare number that wasn’t performed in the main live show. In addition, an interview from their appearance on New York FM radio on February 26th of the same year and a studio live version of “Rapture” are included!
