With the release of “Marching Out” in 1985, he came to Japan for the first time as a solo artist in January. From the subsequent full-fledged world tour that began in May, Rising Force’s first full-fledged world tour, both performances of the North American tour were recorded as audience recordings by low generation masters. First of all, discs 1 & 2 include a complete recording of the main act’s full stage performance in Dayton, Ohio on July 3rd. Discs 3 & 4 are also complete recordings of the Chicago performance on July 5th two days later, and since both masters were discovered in recent years, the quality is as well as the complete recording for the first time. In terms of timing, after the release of their first album “Rising Force” in 1984, they started a tour in December of the same year, performed in Japan the following year in January 1985, and continued from May to this July. This was around the time when they were actively touring in America and Europe, and the main focus was on Alcatraz numbers from their two albums, “Rising Force” and “Marching Out.” The performance by the earliest members, including Jeff Scott Sort and the Johansson brothers, included songs from the Alcatraz era such as “Kree Nakoorie” and “Hiroshima Mon Amour” here and there, but the bass line was impressive. “As Above, So Below”, “On The Run Again” with a Sabbath number as an intro, followed by “Little Savage” with high speed picking and “Disciples Of Hell” which also featured keyboards, both performances are unique to this period.
