Description
The so-called “90125 YES” achieved great success in the 1980s after a bold transformation. A soundboard album that will let you hear the live performance in your brain is now available. This work was recorded as a soundboard recording of the “September 4, 1984 Holmdel Performance”. Our shop archives the entire history of YES with as many masterpieces as possible, and of course the “90125” era is no exception. This is a good opportunity to organize our collection with an overview of their activities at the time, and explore the position of this work. 1983 {November 11th “90125” released} 1984 February 28th – May 15th: North America #1 (62 performances) ←※SO THE STORY GOES June 11th – July 26th: Europe (32 performances) ←※DEFINITIVE DORTMUND and others August 9th – October 1st: North America #2 (41 performances) ←★Here★ 1985 January 17th – February 9th: South America (6 performances) {November 7th “9012LIVE: THE SOLOS” released} This is the 1983-1985 YES, which made a great comeback. The Holmdel performance of this work was a part of “North America #2” which was approaching the latter half. This “North America #2” is also famous for giving birth to the official work “9012LIVE”. Let’s take a closer look at the schedule here and check the relative positions of each. Details of “North America #2” ・August 9th – September 3rd (20 performances) * September 4th: Holmdel performance ←★This work★ ・September 6th – 20th (12 performances) * September 21st “BERKELEY 1984 1ST NIGHT” ・September 22nd – 27th (4 performances) * September 28th: Edmonton performance ←※Official 9012LIVE * September 29th: Edmonton performance ←※Official 9012LIVE ・October 1st: Portland performance … and so on. The official “9012LIVE” was produced from the final two consecutive performances, both in the video version and the live album version, but this work is a full soundboard from about three weeks before that. This show has long been known for one of the best soundboard recordings of the “90125 Tour”, but this work is an upgraded master that has been released recently. As a type, it is clearly a direct-connection type, and the rawness is too vivid to be called official grade. In modern terms, it feels like an IEM interception. The individuality has not changed in the new master, but the freshness has improved. The strong hiss of the conventional master has been considerably alleviated, and the roughness and instability have been eliminated. Until now, the rawness of the rawness was felt roughly, but this time the master is so delicate that you can even taste the presence of the instrument. Such a fresh live sound board depicts the full show of “90125 YES”, which was reborn as pop but had a highly refined ensemble. It is full of repertoire that cannot be heard in the symbolic official “9012LIVE (VIDEO / THE SOLOS)”, so let’s organize it by comparing them. 90125 Era Lonely Hearts: Cinema/Leave It (*)/Our Song (★*)/Hold On/Hearts (★)/Changes/Owner Of A Lonely Heart/It Can Happen (*)/City of Love Solo Corner: Si (*)/Solly’s Beard/Soon/Amazing Grace (Whitefish) Others: Make It Easy/Gimme Some Lovin’ (★) 70’s Classics: I’ve Seen All Good People/And You And I (★)/Starship Trooper/Roundabout *Note: “★” marks songs that were not heard on the official “9012LIVE (VIDEO/THE SOLOS)”. “*” marks limited songs that have not been played since this tour. The axis is the smash hit “90125”, and “Our Song” and “Hearts”, which cannot be heard on the official work, are also delicious…or rather, all 9 songs on the album are played on a grand scale. Of course, it is not a live album reproduction, but it is a live album that can be fully enjoyed as a “live performance version of 90125”. Although it was at its commercial peak, the official live work ended halfway. This is an upgraded soundboard master that will pour the whole picture into your brain. It is a little too raw to be called an official substitute, but that is why it cannot respond to the soundboard resemblance of a worn-out soundboard. Soundboard recording of “September 4, 1984 Holmdel performance”. A recently unearthed new master, the hiss is much less than the conventional master, and the sense of roughness and instability is also eliminated. Until now, the rawness of the rawness was felt roughly, but this time the master is so delicate that you can even taste the presence of the instruments. This is a new masterpiece that will pour the “9012LIVE Tour”, which will be played on a large board with all the “90125” numbers, into your brain.
