Description

This is a rare high-quality sound source in the history of Yes live recordings. It is the strongest sound source that cannot be matched by the clarity and resolution of the soundboard, and even the realism of the high-quality audience sound source represented by the Mike Millard tape. This is the latest 2021 mix sound source that carefully combines the best of them. It is a matrix sound source created by the fusion of the audience and the soundboard. If you are a veteran enthusiast who has collected a wide range of Yes collector’s items, you may think, “Boston Garden in 1974? Oh, there is a high-quality radio sound source.” However, this is a sound source that I would like those who think so to listen to as well. A superb sound source that combines the wonderful separation of instruments and the realism of the venue. The radio sound source had a guitar on the right, but it would be John Anderson in the center facing the stage, Steve Howe on the left, and Chris Squire and keyboard (Patrick Moraz here) on the right. This sound source is rearranged in that way. Moraz’s keyboard is captured more richly than in the previous recordings, and you can see the four-way wrestling with Howe’s guitar everywhere. Furthermore, the remastering brings out Chris’ distorted bass and powers it up. As I have written many times, the sound quality is astonishingly high. This is an item that is like a clean copy of “Live recordings have to be like this”. The jacket is also excellent, following the tour theme album “Relayer”. This is definitely a definitive item for Yes’ Relayer tour, and every family should have one. Incidentally, the same label also released a title containing audience recordings by Mike Millard the following year, which has also been well received, so please check it out. During this period, Yes changed from John Wetton, whose keyboard was popular, to Patrick Moraz, and Moraz’s improvisation beyond the framework set by Wetton was an attractive period. Therefore, you can enjoy the unique one-of-a-kind live performances on different days.
