Description
This title is a complete recording of the April 17th Orchard Hall concert, which was a three-day concert in Tokyo since their 2017 Japan tour, with the familiar matrix sound source. Just before their 2017 Japan tour, they renamed it “YES Featuring ARW” to appeal to the fans that they are YES themselves. And finally, the first day of the three-day concert in Tokyo is recorded in full matrix with the line sound source from the uncompressed multi-ear monitor source used by the band members on stage and the digital audience master from the front row. This is already a familiar thing for the label, and in recent years, in addition to the dramatic evolution of sound factors such as the equipment and mastering environment used, the members use multiple monitor sources with different mix balances, and the exquisite audience source by professional use is mixed and stereo-mixed, so this time it is completely at the stereo sound board sound source level. The stage opened solemnly with an orchestral arrangement of “Perpetual Change,” and while it is of course great to enjoy the performance unique to this group, it is also interesting to compare the differences in arrangement with the original Yes, the show structure, and the concept as a whole. In particular, there are five songs that are currently being performed in the original, including the sharp and speedy “Perpetual Change,” Trevor Rabin’s light acoustic guitar intro “I’ve Seen All Good People,” and the beautiful sound of Rick Wakeman’s “And You and I,” as well as “Roundabout,” both of which were arranged as encores, and there are some fresh discoveries when comparing them. In “Heart Of The Sunrise,” drummer Lou Molino III’s playing is reminiscent of the young Billboard Hot 100, which is also worth listening to. Disc 1 : 1. Symphonic Music (Perpetual Change Theme) 2.
