Just before coming to Japan in 2017, they renamed themselves “YES Featuring ARW” to appeal to the public that they are YES. And finally, from the Japan tour of 6 shows, the live performance at Orchard Hall on April 17th, 18th, and 19th, which was a consecutive 3-day performance in Tokyo, was recorded completely in digital audience recording. In Tokyo, the Orchard Hall was performed for 3 consecutive days, but because it was recorded with the same equipment and at the same venue, everything was controlled from balance to clarity and directness, and it was possible to compare the show composition and concept with the original YES in total. In particular, there are 5 songs that are currently being performed in the original, including the sharp and speedy “Perpetual Change”, “I’ve Seen All Good People” with Trevor Rabin’s light acoustic guitar intro, “And You and I” with Rick Wakeman’s beautiful sound, and “Roundabout”, which was placed as an encore. In particular, in “Heart Of The Sunrise,” drummer Lou Molino III’s playing is reminiscent of Billboard’s younger days, which is also worth listening to. Although the set for all three performances remains the same, the second and final days also include a bonus recording of the sound check from that day. Even though it was just a check, all the members performed “Rhythm Of Love” and “Cinema” in full, and on the final day, you can even listen to John’s favorite nursery rhymes and even “Sunshine Of Your Love / Crossroads” while having fun.
