Description
Along with the great shows, “YES Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman (hereinafter “YES ft. ARW”)” left many famous recordings in Japan. This is the appearance of the best live album containing the final performance. This work contains the performance “April 24, 2017: Nagoya Civic Hall”. A large number of live albums have already appeared from this Japan tour, and this week the masterpiece album “AMAGASAKI 2017 (Virtuoso 358/359)” will also be released at the same time. Here, let’s organize the apex recordings of each day.・April 17: Orchard Hall “TOKYO 2017” ・April 18: Orchard Hall “TOKYO 2017” ・April 19: Orchard Hall “TOKYO 2017” ・April 21: Amashin Archaic Hall “AMAGASAKI 2017” ・April 22: Hiroshima Club Quattro ・April 24: Nagoya Civic Hall [This work] All six performances. Our shop will be able to report on the five performances other than the Hiroshima performance in a live album. And this work is the apex recording of the final Nagoya performance. The quality of is truly superb. After all, the one who made this work is the master “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”. He is a modern famous recordist who knows all the live spaces in Western Japan and is rumored to “record with better sound than the actual performance”. Our shop delivers countless works by Mr. “Strongest”, so most people have probably already heard several of his works. This work is also a masterpiece worthy of the master’s reputation. In fact, the “beautiful sound” that flows from this work leaves you speechless. It’s easy to say that the extremely thick and detailed musical tones are “like a sound board”, but the rich “ringing” that doesn’t end there permeates the sound. I’ve said many times that “YES music suits audience recording”, but it seems that the meaning has changed. The feeling of pouring down the beautiful chorus, the majestic sound of the glittering keyboard, and the sharp guitar sound that tightens both of them. It’s a work like a “sample of a customer record” where all of them sound ideal. However, the recording technique of “the strongest” is as sharp as usual, but unfortunately there is a foreigner nearby who is making a lot of noise. It would be cruel to say that I shouldn’t be excited because John Anderson is right in front of me, but the recording is so advanced and beautiful that it bothers me. The second is the set list. The three Tokyo performances and the Amagasaki performance were full shows, but the final Hiroshima and Nagoya performances had fewer songs. Comparing this work with Tokyo and Amagasaki, there are no drum solos in “Lift Me Up”, “The Meeting”, and “I’ve Seen All Good People”. John Anderson has returned to Japan for the first time in 14 years since the “FULL CIRCLE TOUR” in 2003. He is now 72 years old, and it is unclear whether there will be a “next”. The Nagoya performance included in this work may be his last performance in Japan. A famous recording artist was present at that memorable venue and recorded it in full with the best sound… But why a foreigner…? However, all of this is the truth of the scene. All the necessary preparations were in place, but the recording goddess played a prank on this superb piece. Please enjoy it at your leisure.
