Description
This is a remastered version of “THE LOST BROADCASTS,” which has appeared on the Internet and is a hot topic among Yes fans, and mainly features the famous German music program “Beat Club” from 1969 and 1971. The official take released in 2009 has been remastered by fans and upgraded in both image quality and sound quality, and is a must-see version that has already surpassed the official version and is widely recognized as the definitive version of this take. The original official title of the same name was released in 2009, and was previously released as the title of “Best of Music Laden Live.” The previously unreleased Looking Around and Survival (taken at the same time as No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed) were added with high-quality pro shots, which caused a big stir among fans at the time of release. There was no unnecessary effect processing at all, and in a sense, it was a video that fans could not be happier to see the live studio performance of Peter Banks & Bill Bruford’s time on a very beautiful screen. It was the best to be able to watch it again with great sound and image quality. In No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed, Bill’s syncopated beat full of speed is goosebumps! The high-speed roll of the snare and the tone of the whole band are exquisitely intertwined. The break with everyone who puts emphasis on the front beat of the chorus is too cool. In Looking Around, Bill’s supple cymbal legato is beautiful, and in Survival, the ensemble full of tension is centered around Bill’s rhythm, such as solid rim shots on 4 beats and high-speed backing of the snare on 16 beats, and Peter’s backing (jazz-like voicing) is excellent, and the unison of the organ and bass is also cool, so it’s a great sight to see and hear! Time And A Word, broadcast on Belgian television in February 1970 (color footage from here), was Banks’ last television appearance, and although it was lip-synced by mime, it is also very valuable. The original was an official release, so the image quality is top class. For some reason, Bill plays with mallets instead of sticks. This is the only one with a single camera, a camera on a rail laid in the studio that calmly captures Yes’s performance at the time. Peter and Tony’s chords are excellent, and Chris’ melodic bass line colors the whole song, and you can enjoy the attractive footage. Next is the Beat Club footage originally broadcast on April 24, 1971. Steve Howe joins in from here, and you can enjoy Howe’s powerful playing. Yours Is No Disgrace is the most familiar footage of Yes’s early days, with the hanging head spinning around. Although it has some strange effects, it’s not as bad as ELP’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” so you can enjoy it to the fullest. Bill’s 16-minute just-beat that doesn’t eat up (doesn’t rush in) tightens the song. This groove is unique to Bill! You can enjoy the best Yes performance where everything is working in a good direction. At the end, three different takes of “Your Move” are included. The first two “Your Move” are played the same, but you can enjoy the difference in effects. The last version is completely different in both performance and processing, and the content focuses on the performance of the performer rather than processing. This is the best in terms of ease of viewing. Chris’ melodic bass line and obbligato, Bill’s fill-in pattern, etc. change slightly in the take, and the crisp composition without any dullness and Bill’s unique super tight shuffle beat match perfectly. “REMASTERED”, famous as an upper version of the masterpiece “THE LOST BROADCASTS”, is here!
