Description

Starting from Rochester, New York on August 28, 1978, to Miami on June 30, 1979, the “Tormato Tour” was held on the largest scale ever, with 101 performances, and the final performance on June 29 in Lakeland and the final performance on the Miami day, both of which were completely recorded with high-quality audience recordings that are sure of the master quality. This is a must-have 4-disc set for fans. First, the Lakeland, Florida performance on discs 1 & 2. This was the first recording of the day, and the take on the 29th was supposed to have only poor sound quality. However, the new source that has appeared this time, which lasts for 110 minutes, is a master with sufficient sound quality, although it is not the highest sound quality, and although it is not a complete recording, you can enjoy 80% of the show with stable and good sound. The new source records from the beginning of the show to 10 minutes and 30 seconds of Awaken, and after that it is supplemented with the complete recording version with inferior sound quality. The old source has a rough sound and a sense of separation, but it is not at a level where it can not be heard, so the appearance as a complete version of the show is arranged. The new source in the first half of the show is far away, but the outline and points of the sound are clear, and it can be fully tolerated for multiple viewings. The sound quality is clear and there is plenty of punch in the sound. On the second disc, you can listen to the precious take of Arriving UFO, which was only performed at this time. The final day of the Miami performance on discs 3 & 4 is an even better sound than the 29th. It is recorded with a clearer sound image, and the sense of separation and punch of the sound are even stronger. It was released under the title “Arriving UFO” by the HL label in the past, but it is an even fresher sound than that. On this day, perhaps because it is the last day, the big songs And You And I and Starship Trooper, which have been played on a daily basis just before this, are played continuously only on this day. Although there was a change to Patrick Moratz on the way, it is a very valuable record in the sense that it is the final show of the golden lineup that has continued since the early 1970s. It can be said that it was very fortunate that the performance of this day was recorded with such clear, stable and fresh sound quality. In addition, the low pitch of the original sound has been accurately corrected. A must-have 4-disc set for fans, coupling the final Florida performance of the 1979 tour, which is unavoidable for Yes collectors. Lakeland Civic Center, Lakeland, FL.
