Description
The golden rule “YES + Mike Millard” has produced many masterpiece live albums. The Patrick Moraz era appears in the master collection. What is infused into this work is “June 21, 1975 Los Angeles performance”. This is a super-excellent audience recording vacuum-packed from the famous venue “Hollywood Bowl”. Millard has recorded a wide variety of bands, but YES is his favorite. Our store has permanently preserved four masterpieces: one from 1974, one from 1977, and two from 1978. However, all of that was during the Rick Wakeman era (although Millard was also apparently a fan of Rick himself). This work is a long-awaited masterpiece of “REALYER TOUR”. Before we get into the details, let’s talk about the show’s position. Speaking of the Moraz era, the official video “LIVE: 1975 AT Q.P.R.” is a symbol, so let’s check it out along with the world tour schedule. 1974《August: Patrick Moraz joins》 ・November 8th-25th: North America #1a (13 performances) 《Relayer released on November 28th》 ・November 28th-December 17th: North America # 1b (18 performances) 1975, April 15th – May 17th: UK (24 performances) ← *Official video ・June 17th – July 25th: North America #2 (32 performances) ←★Here★・August 23rd: Appearance at Reading Festival This is the whole picture of “REALYER TOUR”. There were two US tours in 1974 and 1975, but this work is the latter. This was the 5th concert of “North America #2”, which was about a month after the official video was released. This show has long been known for its famous recordings, but the main one is Millard. And this work is the ultimate gene digitized product from the original cassette. The sound is the tour’s best masterpiece. After all, even the masters have been competing for the No. 1 title on the tour, and since the original cassette has appeared, it is inevitable that it will immediately separate the rivals. He is a solitary champion with no equal. In fact, the beautiful sound is super delicate and tight. The Hollywood Bowl, where the film took place, is an open theater with no walls or ceilings to reflect sound. That’s why it sucks in the output sound of the PA with zero echo components, and the core is exposed like a sound board. Of course, open spaces are susceptible to the effects of weather, and can become extremely sparse if you move away from the PA. However, this work is the work of legendary master Millard. There is no way this master craftsman would make such a mistake, and while the open space is full of flavor, it also has an incredible sense of strength and solid stability that you can feel up close. In addition, this work updates the highest peak of such super famous recordings. It has been meticulously mastered, and the original sound, which felt somewhat congested (slightly), has been adjusted. We have improved the sound quality and created a sense of openness that extends beautifully into the wide open space. This work is truly marching to No. 1 on the tour, but this “No. 1” is the throne that holds not only the audience recording but also the sound board. First of all, it is a symbolic official video, but this is a famous failure in history. To begin with, the audio was monaural, and equipment trouble suddenly occurred at the beginning of the show. The mix was falling apart. Speaking of another super famous sound board, there is also a 1974 Boston performance (you can enjoy it on our definitive edition “THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM”), but the songs on that one are incomplete. Strictly speaking, this work also has a tape change at the beginning of “Long Distance Runaround”, but it is still an almost full recording of over 2 hours. Let’s check the contents here.・Time and words: Sweet Dreams (★) ・Third album: Your Move (★) / Clap (★) ・Fragile things: Mood For A Day (★) / Long Distance Runaround (★) / Roundabout ・Crisis: Close To The Edge /And You And I ・Story of Marine Geomorphology: Ritual・Relayer: Sound Chaser/To Be Over/The Gates Of Delirium *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on the 1974 Boston performance soundboard. …and it looks like this. In fact, “THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM” includes the soundboard of the 1974 Boston performance and the 1976 Jersey City performance of “SOLO TOUR”, but it also includes the soundboard of “Sweet Dreams” and “Mood For A Day”. ” is a repertoire that cannot be heard even in both performances. Also, compared to “LIVE: 1975 AT Q.P.R.”, “Yours Is No Disgrace” seems to be lacking, but this is because it was not played on that day. You can fully enjoy the full show throughout. Although it is an audience recording, the sound is better than the official video, and you can enjoy the full show with a longer length than the super famous sound board. A super masterpiece that is the ultimate evolution of Mike Millard’s world heritage…that is this work. This is not the highest peak of this recording, but the tour… No, it is a historic live album that updates the highest peak of the Moraz era. Superb audience recording of “June 21, 1975 Los Angeles Performance”. It has long been famous as the No. 1 legendary recording on the tour, but this work is the ultimate evolution album that has been digitized from its original cassette and further refined through meticulous mastering. The sound is better than the official work “LIVE: 1975 AT Q.P.R.”, and it is longer than the classic soundboard of the 1974 Boston performance. This is a super masterpiece that is the ultimate evolution of the world heritage of Mike Millard, who reigns as the king of “RELAYER TOUR”.
