Description
From the “Solo Tour” held mainly in North America from the end of May to August in 1976, the Vancouver performance in Canada was recorded in full on July 22nd, in the middle of the tour, with a high-quality audience recording. It is recorded in high quality, and fans will be very surprised by the excellent sound quality of the opening Siberian Khatru and Soundchaser! ! All musical tones are recorded sharply and clearly, but what is particularly noteworthy is the bass sound that allows you to hear all the notes firmly, and the way it pops out with a great sense of groove with an exquisite balance is a masterpiece. The loud feeling of the bass in the beat part in the latter half of I’ve Seen All Good People makes the charm of the performance even more wonderful. At the 6-minute mark, the voices of the audience, which seem to be around the recorder, come in a little louder, and I think it’s something, but it settles down immediately. The Gates Of Delirium also has a punchy sound that fits well with the dramatic melody, and produces an outstanding effect. It is recorded with the best sound quality without any muddiness, including the parts where the whole sound is overly overlapped and becomes a noisy sound image, so you can experience a very powerful sound. From the crystal clear sound that can be heard in the Soon part, you can see how close this take is to the master. The audience is quietly listening to the keyboard solo following Long Distance Runaround, so you can listen to the vintage keyboard sound. The clap is also recorded with an ideal sound with a deep sound with a high tone, so it is a great listen. John’s harp solo is also recorded firmly with a calm sound image. Heart Of The Sunrise, which follows John’s short MC involving Vancouver, is recorded with the best sound quality that can be declared “best” as an audience recording in 1976, with the magnificent bass sound as mentioned above. Even though the entire musical tone is on so far, the sound is not muddy at all and is surprisingly separated, which is a wonder for an audience recording at that time. The gorgeous wall of sound remains even in the song part, and you can enjoy the dynamic excitement and the best sound experience in each part. The speed part in the middle part is probably due to the good sound quality, but it is very powerful. The final climax is also amazing, and you can enjoy the best version of Heart Of The Sunrise recorded by the audience in 1976. It is unfortunate that the tape is turned on and off around the first minute of the intro, but the whole thing is recorded perfectly from the beginning. The original sound had the opening part at 13 minutes separated and recorded, but since the original is connected, that part has been properly corrected and edited so that it can be enjoyed uncut. (However, there is a cut that seems to be a tape change at 16 minutes 50 seconds) The spectacular instrumental excitement at the end part is truly spectacular. Roundabout, an arrangement unique to this period that starts with a percussive intro, is recorded with a wonderful sound that gives a sense of speed, but the latter half from 5:15 onwards has been supplemented with another sound source to create a complete version. This is the definitive version of the 1976 solo tour, which can be enjoyed with outstanding sound quality and stable recording! ! This is highly recommended.
