Description

Rick Wakeman made a comeback and released the 1977 “Jesus Shows” world tour, which was accompanied by “Ultimate” and started in Ohio on July 30th and ended on December 6th of the same year. Performed 89 stages in North America and Europe. From the North American leg, the performance at Oakland’s Coliseum Arena on September 22nd is recorded in the best quality from the master audience tape, which was released for the first time on the internet in recent years. This title, which is a master direct recording of the first excavated sound source that has not been distributed until now, can be said to be A-rank as an audience recording at the time in terms of sound clarity and sound balance. The “ultimate” songs, including the opening “Parallels”, “Turn Of The Century”, “Wonderous Stories”, “Going For The One”, and the last “Awaken” are all worth listening to, and are great songs. The dramatic set lined up in a row is a masterpiece, and you can feel the last classic brilliance of Jesus, who has been repeating trial and error since this tour. In particular, John’s energetic vocals on “Turn Of The Century,” the sound of the acoustic part that dominates the entire “And You And I,” the improvisations on “Count Your Blessings” and “Flight Jam,” and the following “Awaken.” ”’s 21-minute epic sound drama is the highlight. Although the last song “Starship Trooper” and the encore “Roundabout” are not recorded, this is a valuable live performance from the same tour where there are few excellent sound sources.
