Woody Shaw, a genius trumpeter who has been praised by such senior trumpeters as Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis, has recorded his live performance at Café het Hijgend Hert in Breda, Netherlands on January 12, 1978 in its entirety on a superb stereo soundboard recording. This is a sequel to the famous live album “Stepping Stones” released at the Village Vanguard in 1979 and “Live in Köln 1978” released on the same label, featuring Carter Jefferson, his right-hand man at the time, and the same members of the rhythm section, Onaje Allan Gumbs, Clint Houston, and Victor Lewis.
