Description
From the 1971 UK tour, where they were recognized as the world’s strongest live band thanks to the historic masterpiece “Live at Leeds,” the performance at the Odeon Cinema in Newcastle on October 30th was recorded from a recently unearthed audience master. Although it is not complete because “See Me, Feel Me” was cut in the middle, it is of good quality for the time. In the middle, they performed mainly numbers from the just-released “Who’s Next,” and in the second half, they played highlights from “TOMMY.” Like “Live at Leeds,” the set and performance are structured to get excited with their representative numbers, and the powerful live performance in their heyday is reproduced here.
