Description
This DVD is a coupling of two of the best quality videos of the outdoor live performance held in London, England on May 18, 1974, which was held in a capacity of 50,000 people, known as a classic video from the 70s. This one uses the digital master video owned by the people involved, which was recently released and has been a hot topic, and has been perfectly reproduced by removing analog noise and appropriately remastering the audio. The DVD contains a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes of footage of the “Original Film Master” and “2ND HOUSE” broadcast on BBC TV, which have different contents. The “Original Film Master” not only has a different sound mix from the TV broadcast version, but also has different editing and angles for the same songs, and even “I’m A Boy”, “Tattoo”, “Behind Blue Eyes”, “Magic Bus”, and “My Generation”, which were cut from the TV broadcast, are recorded in the best quality. Since it is an unedited version of the footage before the broadcast, the raw sound before the final mix is so real. The BBC on-air version also includes an interview with Pete and shots of the band members just before they went on stage, which were not included in the “original film,” as well as songs like “Drowned” and “Bell Boy.” As you’d expect from a broadcast take, the sound is nicely mixed, with cheers appropriately layered in and effects applied, making this a must-see item for anyone wanting to know about The Who in their heyday.
