Description
The night of the incident, which was the first monument in 35 years, was full of trouble and the live was almost canceled!? A new excavation live album that allows you to experience the scene with superb sound is now available. The incident occurred at the “Verona performance on June 11, 2007”. This is a superb audience recording. THE WHO’s performance in Italy was the first in 35 years since the “WHO’S NEXT Tour” in 1972. This show is also a part of “TOUR 2006-2007”. First of all, let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show. 2006 June 7th – July 29th: Europe #1 (24 performances) September 12th – October 11th: North America #1 (18 performances) October 29th: Roundhouse performance (ENDLESS WIRE released on October 30th) November 4th – December 11th: North America #2 (22 performances) 2007 February 8th: London performance February 23rd – March 26th: North America #3 (14 performances) March 31st: London performance May 16th – July 9th: Europe #2 (29 performances) ←★Here★ October 6th: Hannover performance December 1st: South Africa performance This is the overall picture of “TOUR 2006-2007”. The Verona performance of this work is the final stage. The 16th performance of “Europe #2”. Our shop is also popular with the pro shot “GLASTONBURY 2007 (Uxbridge 1294)”, but this work was also about two weeks before that. As mentioned above, this show was a monumental concert for the first time in 35 years, but despite that day, there were many problems. When the show started at 21:20, it sounded fine, and rather the long-awaited enthusiasm for decades exploded. The show started with a huge chorus. However, the sky at the site was actually heavy rain. Even so, the show continued, but at the end of the fifth song “Who Are You”, it was finally unable to continue and the show was interrupted. I’m not sure if the tape was stopped in this work, but it seems that it was interrupted for 50 minutes (!). Normally, it would be canceled, but the show resumed because they couldn’t give up on the monumental show. The members appeared and “Behind Blue Eyes” began. However, here there was further trouble. After about a minute, Roger’s voice became raspy and he left the stage with the words “I can’t speak anymore…”. Of course, the scene was filled with a storm of cheers and boos calling for Roger. Then Pete came out and explained that “Roger can’t sing anymore” (although time flies in an instant in this work, it seems that there was a 20-minute break at the scene). The above is the part that corresponds to DISC 1 of this work. After that, 10 minutes have passed since the repeated interruptions, and this time it will be resumed! After that, DISC 2 is. Roger performed enthusiastically while squeezing out the voice that could not come out, and somehow completed the show by Pete serving as lead vocals for three songs. I’ve explained it in a sentence, but let’s organize the set again here. DISC 1 (until the show was interrupted) Singles: I Can’t Explain / The Seeker / Substitute Others: Fragments / Who Are You (50 minute interruption here) Who’s Next: Behind Blue Eyes (20 minute break here) DISC 2 (show resumes) My Generation: The Kids Are Alright (★) / My Generation Who’s Next: Baba O’Riley / Won’t Get Fooled Again Singles: Let’s See Action (★) / Relay / Magic Bus Others: Pinball Wizard / The Real Me (★) / Eminence Front *Note: The “★” mark indicates a song in which Pete Townshend sings lead. …And so it goes like this. DISC 2 is organized by album as usual, and DISC 1 is in the order of the songs at the venue. DISC 2 is a live album of about an hour, so I hope you can understand how difficult the show was. I completely forgot to write this, but this work, which tells the story of such a special crime scene, also has a super special sound. It’s a superb audience with “super”. That’s because the one who recorded this work and regretted it was the now-popular master taper. Eric Clapton’s super masterpiece “BOLOGNA 1985” was praised as “the strongest recording of the 1980s”, and U2’s “BOLOGNA 1985 1ST NIGHT (Uxbridge 1622)” was also shown as “Italian Miller”. It is the latest in that super collection, and it is a superb masterpiece that has become possible to record in even higher quality in the 21st century. If the sound is super superb, the show is also super rare. It’s hard to say that it’s in top form as a music work, but that’s why it’s a must-listen live album. It’s only because of the bootleg that you can experience such a crazy show. And it’s only because of the audience that you can feel the tense mood of the crime scene and the explosion of joy that resumed in real life. This is a recording that brings out the best of the experience. A superb audience recording of the “Verona performance on June 11, 2007”. This is a recording collection that was praised as “Italian Mirrored” in Clapton’s super masterpiece “BOLOGNA 1985 (Beano-218)”, and it is even more super high quality because it is a 21st century recording. Even more shocking is the show itself. This is the first Italian performance in 35 years, but it was interrupted many times due to heavy rain and Roger’s poor condition. In “The Kids Are Alright”, “Let’s See Action”, and “The Real Me”, you can experience the full show with troubles that Pete manages to handle by taking the lead vocals.
