Description

“LIVE AID” is the biggest event of the 20th century…no, the biggest event in the history of human music. The best pro shot that vividly revives that day that colored the summer of 1985 has been decided to be released. This work is the second installment in which you can relive the performances from JUDAS PRIEST, which appeared around the time the sun changed, to THE WHO before dawn. We have introduced many professional shots of “LIVE AID” so far, but this work is different. This event was broadcast live all over the world, but this work is the Japanese broadcast version. However, it is not a complete broadcast. This work is the second installment. The main broadcast was a long one, lasting about 16 hours, but this work is a selection of only “Western music” from that time. CMs inserted directly into the show, chatting with talent in the station’s studio, Japanese musicians on stage, etc. are eliminated as much as possible (although you can see some members of the Heisei Board of Education). The scene where I thought at the time, “Okay, let’s show a live performance with outside sauce!” has been removed, and now we can look back on that hot day with only delicious scenes. The biggest point of this work is the reality of “July 13, 1985″, and the quality of depicting it is also excellent. At our store, we have archived a number of music programs with the super best masters provided by domestic record enthusiasts, and this work is also the latest. Since then, this maniac has pursued high-end equipment and environment, and is a real man who pays close attention to the state of preservation of his masters. Its quality has been proven in many masterpiece programs, but this work is one of the special ones. Currently, recording masters of “LIVE AID” have been reported from all over the world, but the quality of this work is outstanding. Despite the era when there is no digital broadcasting, it is a visual beauty that even comes close to the official DVD. [The second installment of THE WHO, which is causing chaos all over the world, is super realistic] Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s move on to the main topic. This is already too wonderful. This work is the second of a total of four works, and contains 11 sets. Individually, I think many people choose their favorite band/musician. Let’s briefly summarize the contents of this work. ★0:29/JUDAS PRIEST ○0:40/Paul Young★1:01/Bryan Adams ○1:19/U2 ★1:39/THE BEACH BOYS ○2:00/DIRE STRAITS ○2:41/QUEEN ★3:05/SIMPLE MINDS ○3:23/David Bowie★3:41/PRETENDERS ○3:59/THE WHO *Note: “○” indicates Wembley Stadium in the UK, “★” indicates JFK Stadium in the US. The numbers are the start times of the show, Japan time. ●Others (PV) Mick Jagger & David Bowie…and it looks like this. As you know, “LIVE AID” is held simultaneously at two locations: “Wembley Stadium in the UK” and “JFK Stadium in the US”, and the event is broadcast live while being mixed up. The times listed above are the start timings of each band/artist converted to Japan time. As you can see, this work is recorded from midnight when the date changed to around 4 o’clock in the morning. In the first installment, some recorded broadcasts were mixed in, probably in order to broadcast the opening scenes of both the UK and the US, but in this work, it is almost in chronological order. Roughly one group went back and forth between Wembley Stadium and JFK Stadium, and it didn’t feel out of place, probably because the sun was still high in both the UK and the US. There are plenty of famous songs that can’t be seen on the official DVD, such as THE BEACH BOYS’ “California Girls” and “Help Me, Rhonda,” but the life of this work is the feeling of the live broadcast at the time. The Japanese simultaneous translation is strange here as well. For example, in the scene where foreign announcers (male and female) are speaking in front of David Bowie, there are male and female interpreters in Japan as well, but this confusion is amazing. It is clear that the female interpreter is more competent, and while the woman’s comment is as if it were her own, it does not stagnate, but the man’s comment is just slow and does not form a conversation. The male interpreter gives up after saying, “I’m sending you a concert starring David Bowie…” but the female interpreter considers the words about the significance of the show to be important and ignores them. “Well, for example, we held a concert for poor children in Brixton,” he continued. The man also tries to catch up, but in the end, his Japanese becomes a mess, saying, “I will deliver this from the heart in this live concert.” THE WHO is where the feeling of live broadcasting explodes. The show is about to start, but it’s hard to get started, probably because the equipment isn’t ready. In order to save time, the scene switches to a Japanese studio, but due to the sudden situation, they try their best to connect with a rambling story. “My Generation” starts off with a bang, but then all of a sudden! The screen went black with a noise. Apparently the power to the balloon on the London side had gone out, and if the Philadelphia announcer on the screen was in a panic, so was the Japanese interpreter who was translating the words at the same time. The whole world was in a panic, saying things like, “Oh no…” “London has gone somewhere”, “Let’s go to SANTANA…”, “Oh, I’m going to change my plans and go to London”. Then, just when I thought everything was finally back to normal with “Love, Reign O’er Me,” the MC said, “This is everyone’s favorite song!” and then a commercial breaks out in the middle of the song. cut off. Japan, the US, and the UK are all making mistakes. It’s a scene that truly encapsulates the fun of this series. “LIVE AID” is once again attracting attention due to the QUEEN movie “Bohemian Rhapsody.” However, even without the movie, it would still have been the biggest event of the 20th century. No, the 1980s was the era when popular music was at its peak in human history. In other words, “LIVE AID” was the largest music festival in human history. A masterpiece that allows you to experience the events of the century in real time. Wembley Stadium, London, UK / JFK Stadium, Philadelphia, USA 13th July 1985 (126:13) 1.
