Description

A luxurious tribute concert to Peter Green and early FLEETWOOD MAC, hosted by Mick Fleetwood. A valuable original recording that allows you to experience the scene with the best sound is now available. [A super luxurious night when the heroes of rock magazines gathered together] This show was held on “February 25, 2020 in London”. It was at the Palladium, a traditional venue with a history of 110 years. This event was held to celebrate the music of Peter Green, who co-founded FLEETWOOD MAC with Mick and was its leader until he left in 1970. It was a grand concert where many of the biggest names in the rock world came together. In fact, the participating members were nothing short of spectacular. Centered on Mick, not only Christine McVie, Neil Finn, Ricky Peterson, but also former members such as Jeremy Spencer and Rick Vito gathered together. More than that, there was a wide range of guests, including colleagues and contemporary heroes such as John Mayall, Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman, David Gilmour, Billy Gibbons, Steven Tyler, Noel Gallagher, Kirk… Hammett, Zack Starkey, gospel singer Johnny Lang, and other juniors also add to the glory. This is a show that embodies Peter Green’s accomplishments, which have been loved across eras and oceans. This work is a superb audience recording that completely records the whole story of such a scene. [Original recording only for this work that allows you to experience the scene with the best sound] Moreover, it is an original recording. It is a master that can only be heard in this work provided by the recording artist himself. Speaking of luxurious tributes, Eric Clapton’s “A TRIBUTE TO GINGER BAKER: LONDON 2020” is also very popular, but while the sound source of Ginger’s memorial lecture has been appearing one after another on the internet, Mick’s show has not appeared at all. This may be because the theatrical release of the live video was announced the other day, but the details of that video (including whether it is a complete version) are still unknown. Currently, this work is the only live album that allows you to experience the full show on-site. And even the most important sound is superb. The recording artist who recorded this work on site is a master who is known at our store as the “British master”. He lives near London and has been documenting the British scene from the 1980s to the present, and this work is one of his masterpieces. It is a type of taper that combines a natural air feeling and a modern clearness, but this work focuses more on “clearness” and has plenty of direct feeling. Although the sound of the bass drum has an audience-like feel, it is limited to tone and does not create a sense of distance, and its exquisite sound gives it an indescribable beauty and depth. The strength of the core that runs through the middle is amazing, the solid density has a solid feel, and the details are realistic to the touch. The know-how gained through repeated recordings at the traditional venue “Palladium” is utilized, but it is a beautiful recording that embodies the ideal of audience recording. [A jewel box of great musical masterpieces] What you can experience with such sound is a grand feast of the heroes who have led the rock world. As you can see in the song credits below, the same musicians often come and go on stage, but let’s organize them a little more clearly. Rick Vito (3 songs)・Rollin Man/Love That Burns/Black Magic Woman Johnny Lang (3 songs)・Homework/Sandy Mary/Need Your Love So Bad Billy Gibbons (5 songs)・Doctor Brown/ All Your Love (I Miss Loving) (with John Mayall) / Rattlesnake Shake (with Steven Tyler) / Oh Well, Part 1 (with Steven Tyler) / Green Manalishi (with Kirk Hammett) Christine McVie (2) songs) Stop Messin Around (with Steven Tyler) / Looking For Somebody with Noel Gallagher (3 songs) ・The World Keeps On Turning / Like Crying / No Place To Go (with Rick Vito) with David Gilmour (2 songs) Song)・Oh Well, Part 2/Albatross with Jeremy Spencer & Bill Wyman (2 songs)・The Sky Is Crying/I Can’t Hold Out Others (3 songs)・Station Man (with Pete Townshend)/Man Of The World (with Neil Finn)/Shake Your Money Maker (All Star)…and it goes like this. John Mayall, Peter’s mentor, and Steven Tyler, who received a particularly loud ovation, appear as Billy Gibbons. Although they will never be the main character alone, you can enjoy a gorgeous co-starring performance. In particular, Stephen appears in the duet “Stop Messin Around” with Christine McVie and the all-star collaboration “Shake Your Money Maker”, singing a total of four songs. And the set is full of the flavor of FLEETWOOD MAC when they were one of the top three blues bands. Only “Station Man” sung by Pete Townshend is a “KILN HOUSE” song, but the rest are all Chicago blues standards and repertoire from Peter’s era. Roughly speaking, the first half of the show (DISC 1) felt like a concentrated version of the first three albums, and the second half (DISC 2) consisted of singles such as “Oh Well,” “Black Magic Woman,” and “Albatross.” I keep seeing it. It is a show that always seems to be exciting due to the wave attack of gorgeous co-stars, but it is also a well-defined show. There are many special performances with star co-stars in the long history of rock, but there are few shows as luxurious as this and where you can immerse yourself in the deep blues. This work is a masterpiece of a live album that allows you to witness such a miraculous scene. A masterpiece recording exclusive to this work, recorded by a master while leaning on his arm.
