This is the 5th edition of a 2-disc compilation containing rare 12-inch versions and dance mixes of hit songs by male artists who are mainly active in the AOR/Rock genre. A brilliant one-hit wonder from the nostalgic 1980s of my youth. In 1983, Tako’s “Dancing Night at the Ritz” reached number 4 on the U.S. charts, and the song was about a man who was shocked to find that a girl he liked in high school appeared nude on a double page spread in a men’s magazine. “Centerfold” (Japanese title: “Fallen Angel”) by J. Geils Band, which has an impressive catchy intro of “Nanana,” was produced in 1983 as a sequel to the movie “SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.” The older brother, who became a single as the theme song for “STAYING ALIVE”, includes actor Sylvester Stallone’s Frank Stallone: Far From Over.
