Description
LIVE AID is a major event that is being watched with enthusiasm again after 33 years. The legendary edition that has been handed down from generation to generation of FM broadcasting has been decided to be released. That legendary record is “LIVE AID: THE GLOBAL JUKE BOX”. This is a soundboard album containing radio broadcasts from the time, and is an LP bootleg released as a 2-disc set. This week, “VOL.1” and “VOL.2” will be reprinted at the same time, and this work is the first part “VOL.1”. LIVE AID is a huge event of the century with a total of 57 bands/artists performing at Wembley Stadium in the UK and JFK Stadium in the US. Of course, the whole story cannot fit into 4 LPs, so only the most popular stages in this series are selected. This work of “VOL.1″ contains 7 groups and 17 songs. Let’s organize the contents… [Wembley Stadium (UK)] DISC 1: David Bowie (4 songs), Bryan Ferry (4 songs), Freddie Mercury & Brian May (1 song) DISC 2: Paul McCartney (1 song), BAND AID (1 song) [JFK Stadium (US) edition] DISC 2: POWER STATION (2 songs), DURAN DURAN (4 songs) …and so on. Rather than chronologically or by venue, the composition of the four sides of two LPs packed with popular artists is truly 80’s, but the sound is even more reminiscent of that time. Although it is difficult to say that it is official quality by modern standards because of the air check at that time, the quality is excellent as it was recorded by the manufacturer at the time with the intention of release. The FM sound board with no dubbing marks and a vivid stereo feel is vintage yet truly beautiful. Of course, the transfer is perfect too. Carefully digitized using mint quality LP. There are no scratches or noises, so much so that you might think, “Maybe it would be more analog-like if the needles clicked a little bit,” and it has been reprinted with such beautiful sound that it sounds like the broadcast radio waves from that time were delivered across 33 years of time and space. Because of that kind of sound, it is full of the feeling of that time. The memory of being glued to the radio, anxious about the events of the century, comes back vividly. It has been made official with a DVD box, but there are many songs that were cut. You can enjoy a total of 5 songs, including POWER STATION’s “Murderess” and “Get It On”, which were not recorded in their entirety, as well as Bryan Ferry’s “Sensation”, “Boys And Girls”, and DURAN DURAN’s “A View To A Kill”. Masu. The definitive song is Paul McCartney’s “Let It Be.” As I previously introduced, the staff member from the previous Freddie Mercury & Brian May group accidentally pulled out the microphone, so the singing voice was turned off for about two minutes. On the official DVD, the singing voice recorded in the studio at a later date was overdubbed, but in the live broadcast version of this work, you can faintly hear the real voice singing with great effort. And then, the moment the trouble was resolved, a huge cheer erupted… At the end of last year, the audience masterpiece “LIVE AID: WEMBLEY STADIUM 1985” recorded by Kinney was discovered, and it was found that a large chorus supporting Paul was occurring, but the broadcast version is painful no matter how many times you listen. For many years, we didn’t know the truth on the ground and believed that this broadcast was everything… It is a live album that will make you feel nostalgic even with such long-held feelings. A major event where numerous pro shots and soundboards remained, and even the truth from the audience’s perspective of “LIVE AID: WEMBLEY STADIUM 1985” was discovered. This LIVE AID album has been made into an album and is a legendary record that has been passed down for many years. The scene from 33 years ago is attracting attention, but the storyteller is also historical. In particular, “VOL.1”, which focuses on Wembley Stadium, is a book that you should definitely enjoy together with “LIVE AID: WEMBLEY STADIUM 1985”.
