Description

The tribute live tour “Celebrating David Bowie” will be held in various locations from January 8, 2017, the first anniversary of Bowie’s death. This was planned by actor Gary Oldman, a friend of Bowie, and will be held in five locations around the world with the participation of former Bowie band members and many other famous musicians. The first day of the tour, the show at O2 Brixton in London on January 8, has been recorded in full for 2 hours and 53 minutes using high-quality digital audience recording. Although the musicians participating vary depending on the location, the lineup for the London show will be centered around former Bowie band members, with luxurious guests adding a touch of glamour. The lineup for the London show will include former members such as his friend Mike Garson, Adrian Belew, Earl Slick, Gail Ann Dorosey, Zachary Alford, and Holly Palmer. The guests include Gary Oldman, the founder of the tour, as well as other British artists, both old and new, such as Joe Elliott (DEF LEPPARD), Simon Le Bon (DURAN DURAN), Tony Hadley (SPANDAU BALLET), Tom Chaplin (KEANE), LA ROUX, and Joe Sumner (Sting’s son, FICTION PLANE). After that, the British all-stars, both old and new, take turns performing Bowie’s classic songs, making for a wonderful performance by a luxurious cast throughout the entire show.
